What optional usage stats record
We count profile views, visits to business websites, saves and removals from favourites. For searches, we record whether a search was used, the number of active filters and the number of matches. We do not record the search words, visitor identifiers, IP addresses, device details or the destination website in our event records.
Records are private to Custom Motor World administrators. They are interest signals, not proof of a unique visitor, enquiry or sale. Raw records have a 90-day retention window; cleanup is an administrative task.
Turning stats off stops future events on this browser. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control settings also stop them. Your choice is stored locally; it does not identify you.
Favourites and profile requests
Favourites are saved locally in your browser and are not synced to an account. Clearing browser storage removes them and resets your usage preference.
Claim and correction forms store the contact and evidence details you submit in a private review queue. Submitting a request does not grant ownership or change a public listing.
Business accounts
Signing in uses secure session cookies to keep account tokens out of page scripts. Business accounts store an email address, approved access and profile proposals. Owners can see their own proposal outcomes and feedback; administrators can review requests and audit changes. Email confirmation and business ownership are separate checks.
Website operation
Vercel hosts this website and Supabase hosts directory data and submitted records. Requests to those services carry network information needed to operate the service; hosting infrastructure may keep separate operational logs. Visiting a business website is subject to that business's own privacy information.
